How to Plan the Perfect Backyard Foam Party

A backyard foam party is one of the easiest big-impact parties you can throw. We handle the hard parts — you just set the stage. Here's how to plan one that everybody remembers.

1. Pick the right time of day

This is the single most important tip: book the foam for earlier in your party, not the end. Kids (and adults) bring the most energy when they're fresh. If your party starts at noon, a 1:00 or 2:00 foam session hits perfectly. Save it for the end of a long, hot day and you'll have a smaller, sleepier crowd.

2. Check your space

You need a flat, open area roughly 20×20 feet — most backyards have plenty. Grass and turf are ideal, but asphalt and concrete work too. Move anything that shouldn't get wet, and you're set. (More detail in our planning guide.)

3. Make sure there's water

We just need access to a standard outdoor spigot or hose near the foam zone. We bring the cannon, the foam solution, the music, and everything else.

4. Tell guests what to wear

A quick note on the invite saves everyone hassle:

• Clothes or swimwear that can get wet
• Water shoes or old sneakers (skip bare feet)
• A towel for afterward
• Goggles are optional for sensitive eyes

5. Plan the flow

Foam pairs great with the rest of a party. A simple rhythm that works: arrival and snacks → foam session while energy is high → cake and presents → wind-down. Have a hose or a few towels ready so kids can rinse off before cake.
